Irregular patches are cut parts applied across a curved body, and unlike a stripe they have no seam to follow. They need a placement jig if every unit is going to look like the sample. Small horns and ears are separate attachment points on the head. A broad, stable body makes it one of the easier shapes in this group to fit a module into.
Use this reference to test whether a line can hold free placement across a run. Decide the patch count and size, and whether they are appliquéd or printed. Then place the module relative to the patches, so a light or a speaker is not muffled by a double layer of fabric.

- Module placement The pocket that holds the board, speaker or motor decides where the seams run and where the toy feels hard. Place it where a child holds the toy least, and say how it is removed before washing.
