Embedded features
Electronics inside a soft body need a housed module, a cable route that survives hugging and an access point an adult can reach. Decide where the module sits before the pattern is cut, because it moves seams.
Soft body
A soft body has to protect the parts inside it and still pass a seam and pull test. Agree the internal pocket, the closure method and how a parent is told to clean the product.

  • Module placement The pocket that holds the board, speaker or motor decides where the seams run and where the toy feels hard. Place it where a child holds the toy least, and say how it is removed before washing.
