Manufacturing reference
A seated axolotl, catalogued under a literal translation of its Chinese name rather than as a dinosaur.
The name is worth knowing before you brief it, because this is the same creature as the standing axolotl in the range, in a seated pose and a different colourway. The gill fronds are the build problem: small applied stalks on a curved head, each one soft enough to look right and firm enough to survive a pull. A ridged tail and a pale belly panel are separate cut parts again.
Use this reference alongside the standing axolotl when you are deciding whether a range needs one pose or two. The questions are how many frond branches you actually need, whether they are sewn in or applied, and how they are protected in the pack so they arrive looking like the photograph.
