Manufacturing reference
A seated bear in white, which is the least forgiving colour in the catalogue.
White shows everything: needle marks, oil from the line, lint from the carton and any variation between fabric lots. That makes it the honest test of a factory's handling discipline rather than of its pattern making. The features have to be lifted off a pale ground, so the muzzle, eyes and paw pads carry more contrast work than they would on a coloured bear.
Send this reference when cleanliness in production is the thing you are actually assessing. Decide the shade of white against a physical standard rather than a screen, and agree how units are handled and bagged on the line. Set the tolerance for lot to lot variation before the order is placed.
