Manufacturing reference
A small bedside unit reduced to one large control on the top face.
A single oversized control is a deliberate choice: it can be found and pressed in the dark without looking, which is what an alarm clock actually has to do. It also means every other function is reached through press length, sequence or an app, so the interaction model has to be written down before the tool is cut. A perforated side grille tells you where the sound leaves the box.
Use this reference when the brief is a bedside product with a deliberately small interface. Decide what the single control does at each press, whether anything is configured off the device, and what the unit does after a power interruption.
