A product that runs all night is an acoustic and a thermal design as much as an electronic one. The driver and the sealed volume decide whether the sound is soothing or hissy. Continuous operation means the power route has to be planned for hours rather than minutes. That usually pushes the design toward mains power or a large pack, which changes the case, the label and the transport paperwork.
Choose this reference when the product is expected to run every night for years. Decide the sound set and its length before it loops, the volume range at a cot side, and the power route, then confirm the behaviour after a power cut.

- Enclosure and tooling A moulded shell is steel, so the shape has to be settled before it is cut. Agree the parting lines, the texture, the grille and the light guide at one review, since every unit carries all four.
